In the latest of our fundraising events for Anthony Nolan, we decided to put the sporting prowess of our competitive agents to the test with a charity rounders tournament.
Our partnership with the blood cancer charity has seen individuals from Marsh & Parsons climb mountains, organise bake sales and fire up the barbecue to raise money and awareness of the valuable work Anthony Nolan does.
On Thursday 25th June, 14 teams from across the business battled it out to be crowned M&P Rounders Champions 2019. Despite it being the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching 38.5oC, all teams arrived with one thing in mind – to win the coveted M&P trophy! There were strong performances from Chiswick and Brook Green but only one team could come out on top, and after four rounds, Battersea and Balham clinched the title to secure their place in the M&P rounders hall of fame.
The final fundraising total came to £2,430 with all proceeds going to Anthony Nolan as part of our pledge to raise both awareness for the blood cancer charity and £25,000.
The rounders players joined the rest of the company later that evening at the Marsh & Parsons Summer Garden Party to celebrate a fantastic first half of the year.
